Compress images
without compromise

Compress JPG, PNG and WebP images locally while preserving each image’s original format. Adjust lossy quality, process up to 40 files and avoid uploading images to a processing server.

JPEG and WebP use lossy quality. PNG stays lossless.

Why it matters

Smaller images,
faster everything

Every kilobyte you cut from an image is a millisecond you give back to the person loading your page. Compression is one of the highest-ROI performance wins you can make — no code refactor needed.

Faster load times

Lighter images reduce the amount of data a page needs to download and can help improve loading performance.

Better mobile experience

Smaller downloads are friendlier to mobile connections, limited data plans and visitors on slower networks.

Lower storage costs

Prepare smaller image files before uploading them to a website, cloud drive or content management system.

Performance-friendly pages

Optimized images can help pages load more efficiently. Results depend on dimensions, format and the source image.

Private by design

The selected images are processed in your browser. Squeezy does not upload them to a file-processing server.

Easier sharing

Smaller images are easier to attach to emails, send in messages and share with collaborators.

How it works

Three steps,
zero servers

01

Drop your images

Drag and drop up to 40 JPG, PNG or WebP images into the zone above, or choose them with Browse.

02

Set your quality

Choose a quality level for JPG and WebP. PNG remains lossless, and Squeezy keeps the original when re-encoding does not meaningfully reduce its size.

03

Download results

Process the queue in your browser, then download files individually or trigger downloads for the whole batch.

Squeezy preserves the source format rather than converting files. To switch between JPG, PNG and WebP, use SwitchPic.

FAQ

Common
questions

No. Squeezy processes selected images in your browser using browser image APIs and a Web Worker where available. Your images are not uploaded to a file-processing server. The website may still load code, fonts and other page assets.
It depends on the source image and quality setting. Lower lossy quality settings can introduce visible artifacts. Compare the output before using it and raise the quality when details matter.
Squeezy accepts up to 40 files and 200 MB total per batch, with a 50 MB per-file limit. Images above 30 megapixels are rejected as a memory-safety measure. Actual performance still depends on the device and browser.
PNG compression remains lossless, so the quality slider does not make PNG encoding lossy. Squeezy compares the re-encoded PNG with the original and keeps the original if the result is not meaningfully smaller. For format conversion, use SwitchPic.
Image processing runs in your browser without sending selected images to a processing server. Page assets such as fonts still need to load; offline availability depends on what your browser has cached.
A Web Worker runs JavaScript off the main page thread. Squeezy uses one for image encoding when OffscreenCanvas is available, helping the interface remain responsive during processing.
Yes. Squeezy is free to use, with no account or watermark. It is part of the RuntimeHub collection of browser-based tools.
