PORTRAIT BACKGROUND REMOVER

A focused background remover for the subjects that matter

SoloBG is made for the image people actually want to keep: a portrait, a profile photo, a person, or a character. Remove visual clutter, compare the original with the cutout, and export a transparent PNG without a long editing workflow.

01

From photo to transparent PNG

Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image and turn it into a transparent cutout. The workspace keeps the preview in the same place while you inspect Before, After, or Split. The exported PNG retains the source pixel dimensions, making it practical for presentations, thumbnails, profile graphics, product mockups, and layered designs.

02

Made for everyday creative work

Use SoloBG for portraits, professional headshots, full-body photos, and character artwork. Clear source detail helps around hair strands, curls, fur, clothing seams, knit textures, glasses, earrings, and narrow straps. After processing, inspect both the complete silhouette and the smaller edges before using the cutout in a finished composition.

03

Fine details matter

Small edges often make the difference between a usable cutout and one that needs more work. Inspect flyaway hair, curls, fur, textured fabric, lace, glasses, earrings, straps, and the spaces between accessories. A sharp source image gives these details the best chance of remaining visible.

04

Check soft edges and shadows

Not every subject ends in a hard line. Hair, fur, loose fibers, and edges in semishadow may fade gradually into the surroundings. Compare the result over light and dark backgrounds and use Split to review the transition before downloading the transparent PNG.

WHERE IT FITS

One clean cutout, more room to create.

A transparent subject is useful anywhere the person or character should stand out: creator content, profile layouts, product listings, presentations, and personal projects.

01

Social & creator content

Prepare profile images, channel thumbnails, course covers, podcast artwork and creator announcements. A clean outline helps the subject read clearly even when the final graphic is viewed at a small size.

02

Still frames & video graphics

Use a still image from a shoot, stream or recording in a thumbnail, promo card or storyboard. SoloBG works with a still image, so choose the frame you want to isolate before uploading.

03

Fashion & e-commerce

Create subject cutouts from product-on-model photographs for listing images, lookbooks and seasonal campaign mockups. Inspect hair, garment edges, seams and accessories before placing the subject over a new background.

04

Professional profiles

Prepare portraits for team pages, author bios, speaker cards, CVs and profile directories. Review glasses, ears, neckline and hairline so the cutout still feels natural.

05

Design & presentations

Place a transparent PNG over a brand color, slide, poster, web mockup or portfolio composition without carrying the original scenery along.

06

Personal & community projects

Reuse a favorite portrait or character in invitations, collages, event graphics, graduation announcements and other personal designs.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Practical answers for better cutouts and transparent PNGs.

How do I remove a background with SoloBG?

Choose an image in the console, select Remove background, compare Before, After or Split, then download the transparent PNG.

Which image formats can I use?

SoloBG accepts JPG, PNG and WebP images. The current studio supports files up to 24 MB; a fresh, well-focused source is a good starting point.

Will the exported PNG be transparent?

Yes. The image is exported as a PNG with transparency around the isolated subject. The checkerboard shown in a preview is only a transparency indicator.

Can I inspect fine hair, fur and fabric?

Yes. Use Split to compare the same edge, then zoom in around flyaway hair, curls, fur, knit fabric, lace, glasses, jewelry and narrow straps.

Does the output keep the original dimensions?

The exported PNG keeps the selected image’s original pixel width and height. Fine-detail quality still depends on the sharpness and size of the source.

What should I do if an edge looks soft?

Check it over both light and dark backgrounds. Similar colors, blur and soft shadows can make an edge hard to distinguish, so use a clearer source when possible.
