Choose an audio file from your phone or computer. Ringtonz reads it in your browser and draws a waveform to help you find the right moment.
Pick the exact part of a song or recording you want, listen to the selection, then export a ringtone as MP3 or WAV. Your audio stays on your device.

Drag the waveform handles, use the arrow keys, or enter exact start and end times. WAV-to-WAV cuts without fades preserve the original samples when the source is a supported WAV file.

Save the clip as MP3 or WAV. Set the MP3 bitrate and add a short edge fade when you want smoother starts and endings.
MP3 is compact and widely supported by phones and music apps. Choose 192 kbps for a balanced default, or a higher bitrate when you prefer it.
WAV is useful for editing or when you want uncompressed output. A direct WAV-to-WAV cut without a fade can preserve the original PCM samples and bit depth.
Ringtonz checks supported PCM WAV files in small pieces rather than decoding the whole recording just to draw the waveform. That makes long WAV recordings practical to inspect and cut. Compressed formats such as MP3, FLAC, AAC, OGG and M4A must be decoded as a whole by the browser, so very large files may exceed your device’s available memory.
The editor samples small windows from supported WAV files to create the waveform, instead of reading the whole audio payload into memory.
For supported WAV input, WAV output and no edge fade, Ringtonz copies the selected bytes and writes a matching WAV header without recoding the audio.
Compressed audio requires full decoding. The app uses a cautious file-size limit and reports a readable error when a file is too large to open.
Your selected audio is read and processed in your browser. The result is assembled locally and offered as a download rather than sent to a conversion server.
Trim voice notes, interview clips, personal recordings or music files without uploading their contents to a third-party audio service.
Ringtonz tries to open audio formats supported by your browser, commonly MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG and M4A. Supported PCM WAV files can use the streamed editing path; compressed formats are decoded by Web Audio.
A supported WAV-to-WAV cut without a fade copies the selected audio samples without re-encoding. Exporting a compressed source to MP3 re-encodes it, and applying a fade to a WAV selection uses the PCM export path.
Browsers generally decode compressed audio into full in-memory sample buffers. Long or high-resolution recordings can exceed a phone or computer’s available memory. Supported PCM WAV files can be inspected in streamed mode instead.
Yes. Use the play control to preview from the selected start time; playback stops when it reaches the selected end time.
No audio content is uploaded by the trimming workflow. The MP3 encoder library is loaded on demand from a CDN if you choose MP3 export; your audio remains on your device.
Yes. Ringtonz is free to use in your browser and does not require an account.
